Mandatory Fields on Status Change
Client onboarding processes often require different information at different stages of the workflow. While some fields should always be completed, others only become relevant when an application reaches a specific milestone, such as being submitted for approval or marked as approved.
Version 2.1.6 introduces Mandatory Fields on Status Change, giving administrators greater control over when field validation is enforced. Rather than requiring a field to be completed throughout the entire application lifecycle, administrators can now configure fields to become mandatory only when an application is moved to one or more specified statuses.
This new capability is configured directly within the field settings. By enabling the Required on Status Activation option, administrators can select the status or statuses that will trigger validation for that field. If the required information has not been provided when the application is moved to one of the configured statuses, the status change is prevented until the field is completed.

This approach allows users to capture information only when it becomes relevant to the process, reducing unnecessary validation during data entry while ensuring that all required information is available before critical workflow milestones are reached.
The result is a more flexible and efficient onboarding experience, enabling organisations to align validation rules with their business processes and approval workflows without compromising data quality or compliance.
