This new feature allows a client to decide which authenticator application to use including the most common Microsoft and Google Authenticators. This feature of 2FA in KYCP adds an extra layer of security for users who have access to login into the system.
Due to the sensitive nature of the data residing in KYCP and also due to regulatory pressure, this feature of 2FA ensures that the users accessing the portal are legitimate. In previous versions of KYCP the application method required the user to download and install AUTHY.
In the new version of KYCP the authenticator application can be set to the one that the user already has on their phone. Below is the new process of this is handled.
Clicking on this the first time will prompt you to register your mobile number. This will load the following panel which will allow the user to use any existing authentication app on their device by adding KYCP as a new account.
Once registered the user can then input the code as per usual and keep using their preferred authentication APP.
