System Administrator

KYCP is seeking a System Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage software, both on internal infrastructure, and on those of customers.  We offer remote work and flexible working hours.

The System Administrator’s responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues as well as documenting the various technical and installation processes of the various environments. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. The ideal candidate should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly, research solutions in their own capacity until the problem is resolved and being able to trouble-shoot issues that have never been addressed before. One should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and clients.

 Responsibilities:

  • Install and upgrade software solutions developed by KYCP on customers’ infrastructure.
  • Monitor server performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages.
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation.
  • Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
  • Administer infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes.
  • Review application logs
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues when they arise.
  • Research and recommend new approaches to improve the system performance.
  • Provide technical support when requested.

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with Windows servers, IIS and Azure Devops.
  • Experience with databases, particularly MySQL, and preferably MongoDB
  • Experience with Active Directory solutions, like Windows AD, Azure AD, OKTA AD, etc
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Professional certification (such as MCSA or MCSE) is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in ICT or similar would be preferred.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both orally and written.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to work independently and with a team with minimal supervision.
